We would like to ANNOUNCE, that BARBARA BAIN is planning to attend the Breakaway: 2019 Convention next year!!!!

This will be Barbara Bain's first NorthEast Space:1999 Convention appearance!!

THIS IS A VERY EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT FOR BREAKAWAY:2019!!!!!

Nick Tate - Captain Alan Carter: Australian Born Actor/Director/Voice Over Artist Nick Tate has confirmed his appearance. Many Space:1999 fans were unaware that Nick was not originally hired for his iconic role of Alan Carter. When you have the opportunity to meet Nick, have him tell the story, as only Nick can tell it.

Below : A tribute video to Nick from Italian fans, very nice video.

Prentis Hancock -Paul Morrow

I was actually offered the part in Space: 1999 without auditioning and was the fourth actor to be cast, after Martin Landau, Barbara Bain and Barry Morse. I had done a two-part episode of The Protectors for Gerry so he knew me from that.

As Paul Morrow I was always there in a scene, but it was a bit thin on the ground on him actually getting involved. One episode they would hint at Morrow's relationship with Sandra, but the next week it was completely ignored. I think the series could have done with a firm line all the time with some build-up. They came to me one day and said, "We've got a real character episode for you this week, Prentis," and I thought, "Great!" but it turned out to be one line in a conference in which a space voyage was mentioned in which my father had died!

There's a saying in America, "If it ain't on the page, it ain't on the stage" and I think that's right. You've got to have the raw materials there in the script. However, there are huge difficulties with a cast that size to give them all screen time and credibility. There were three stars, plus two guest stars, plus the other regulars and trying to divide fifty minutes amongst them is tough.

Suaznne (Heimer) Peterson - Barbara Bain’s Stand-In /Alphan: Suzanne (Heimer) Peterson has confirmed. Suzanne worked as Barbara Bain’s Stand-in throughout the entire series of the show. She can also be seen as a background Alphan throughout both seasons. Suzanne has wonderful memories of her time on the series.

Past Events

The great thing about this kind of event and these guests it's more personal. All the guests interact with the attendees all day and evenings spent in the gathering area, dining room or on the outside patio. They don't hide behind tables and large security folks. You are guaranteed a fantastic weekend to chat with them all, even eat a meal with them if the timing is right. Check out the photos to the left for past events and see for yourself.
